My buddy sent me an excerpt from this article. Apparently the 2022 will get the existing ford sync infotainment, but 2023 models will get android automotive based version of sync. It would be interesting to better understand the differences.

Ford has confirmed that it will delay its Android Automotive system to late 2023, and that existing vehicles won't get an upgrade.

This is great news for some of us that don't want anything to do with Google - like me....and there are tons of people like me out there. I will refuse delivery if I don't have QNX on mine.

I'm old school. If a simple usb port will play music, then I'm all good.
I don't use the streaming apps.
I don't use the bluetooth phoney thingy
I don't use the integrated GPS
I don't use the 'sat radio' thingy

I'm old school, like old school when PacMan was still in it's 'hey day'... : )
