Looks like they’ve linked the ICE prices. The build timeline is interesting. My dealer told me they thought that the lower builds would likely be earlier given the lower constraints on the supply chain. Has Ford typically built the highest trims first (like Tesla)?

This was the original leaked pricing, it doesn’t line up with this at all. It also doesn’t seem to make sense to me either. That xlt price is damn near the same as the lariat.

1. Order at your dealer depends on if and how your dealer adjusted the order priorities.
2. Make sure you get the price in writing when you place your order.

Does anybody have experience with getting the price in writing? Like maybe from a maverick order or something? Because I just feel like so many dealerships are going to be hesitant to do that. I could imagine a situation where somehow they could get screwed. They could also screw you if you don’t. If they screw you does it screw you out of your lightning order? What legally binding document are they gonna have laying around saying that they won’t charge you a mark up? I doubt they’ll use an actual sales document because what if the car doesn’t come in for a year and a half that can get ugly, and what if they don’t honor whatever they put in writing? What are you do then take them to court and sue them over vehicle that no longer exist because they sold somebody else? How do you prove damages on that? It really seems like you just have to try and pick what seems like the most honorable dealership you can find and hope for the best

I preordered as soon as they announced it was open during the live stream and placed the official order the same day they emailed me about it. My dealer is a smaller one in New Hampshire and they only got two allocations. Mine was the first Lightning they delivered (June 30).

This tells me that the order probably does matter, but I’m not sure if it’s the preorder or the final order they’re going by.
