I posted an initial review on the truck here:

After spending some time with the FordPass app; here is a quick review of that: Not the best, neither the worst.
  • Not as instantaneous as the Tesla or integrated
  • A lot of features are under many layers of menu that accessing them is time consuming (ex: Charging Setting under vehicle settings vs on the home screen while Maps/Trip Planning or Chargers are under maps-->Charging)
  • There are also many errors that come up when you do it; but repeating the same thing again resolves it. Lots of timeout
  • Home Screen:
    • Only shows a few features - start; chargers, horn/lights and lock/unlock; No HVAC controls at all!
    • Charge Level and DTE are good
    • My News feed is useful but not that relevant after couple of uses
  • Vehicle:
    • Repeats range; but now has location and odometer
    • Status is a tab for Tire Pressure; assume if there are other issues it pops up here
    • Charging: This is a key tab that has some key info and features
      • Charge Settings: This is the only location where you can actually set the target charge rate for the vehicle and it is specific to each charger location (ex: Home you can set for 80% for daily charging, vs a DCFC that you visit often can be at 100%; also lets you set the schedule of charging in relation to energy costs however it is not able to identify the rates even though it got the power company right) This target charge set is ONLY available here and not even on the vehicle (vehicle lets you set one off max target charge)
      • Charge Logs: gives history
      • Blue Oval NW - multiple things here incl plug and charge settings; note: Sharing access gives an error
      • My EV Driving is a nice summary of how you have been burning the juice
      • BackUp Power acts as the hub for all power management
    • Features and Settings:
      • Weird set of things here; HotSpot, Zone Lighting Trailer Check Light, Ford Assistant and Software Updates (that doesnt do anything)
      • Most of these again have sub menus and no long presses in GUI
    • Security & Safety again has tiles for Securialert for scheduled checks on vehicle location, theft, etc and Insure for usage based insurance product
  • Service: Lots of menus that seem more ICE catered than EV; 24x7 assistance is here for towing
  • Maps: Some key features like send to car
    • Charging location with filters on different aspects (Power, speed, cost)
    • Trip Planner can be scheduled to send a certain destination + charging way points to car and have it preconditioned
    • Never got it to work appropriately
I am yet to do a DCFC on the truck yet as my home charging was enough for all the drives I did.

Expect to see regular changes to the Ford Pass app as the continue to approve it (and sometimes break it in the process). Updates to the app come at least monthly.

I'm not sure what "changes" they have been doing but nothing has been done to improve functionality. Or add functionality. If there have been changes it has to have been just for backend and not GUI. And I've been using it for over a year now. I gave it a 3 on the google play store, they responded with "they are constantly making changes"; this was back in February and that they were working on the thing I was complaining about. That was temperature control.

I've complained a bunch on here about the app, mostly to give people a heads up. Especially if you are coming from Tesla - lower your expectation. It isn't useless, just isn't as useful as it SHOULD be. This app has been around for a while now and their "constant" changes needed to be live a long time ago.

Oh I know a change that popped out to me. When I go to remote start I get a message now that tells me it can take up to 30s for this to happen.

They seem to rearrange the GUI a bit every month or so. Recently they replaced “My journeys” with “My EV Driving”. They added and changed Securialerts. Several other changes.

Q: Can I schedule a startup event? Ex. Drive to work every Monday at X time, warm|cool the vehicle to acceptable temperatures while still hooked into shore power?
YES! In the charge settings menu on Ford Pass you have the option to set up Departure Times as well as Preferred Charge times. I do believe all Fords now have the option to set up Departure times if they have the Push Button Start.

Yes. It’s in your manual.

So far the Ford Pass sucks. See photos. No ability to set charge or departure time. Ability is greyed out.

That's a new FordPass bug that just started for me right after I set some charge settings from inside the truck a couple days ago. I'm not sure if it's a bug in the app or some sort of user error. I'm going to try to undo what I did and see if that works.

Did you set your home charger location in the app or maybe the update remove your charger from the location?
I set a one-time Level 2 home (while at my saved location) charging session in the truck, which was fulfilled. I had one saved departure time. Now, it a dead end in the app in the charging screen where everything is greyed out as shown above in @Howard S images. In the truck, I can't delete the Departure time or do much of anything except get back to that one time charge setting. No locations are shown in the truck. 🤷‍♂️

And you are the most current version of the app (4.23.1 for iOS)? I also will manually close and restart the app if something unusual is happening - maybe even restart my device occasionally. Hope this helps...

Checked all those boxes, deleted the app and re-installed and danced a jig and still no love and still no charging settings beyond the grey.
