Posting this same morning (30 Jan 23) that Ford just dropped the Mach-E by $6K (or wtvr it is), so everything below will probably get even "worse" for Ford and better for consumers soon, but here goes:

spent some time window shopping at 2 large Raleigh-area dealerships (Durham and Apex, very central and urban with big lots and big inventories). Total of 11 Lightnings on the lots for sale, almost all new. most, not surprisingly, were high-end PLT and LRTs, but a couple XLTs and Pros in there too.

The online prices listed for the trucks were all 10K to 15K over MSRP, but I think that's laughable. If Ford just gave back $6K on the Mach-E, and people are walking away from LT purchases because of Ford's gouging over the last year (both price and options-packages), there's NO WAY somebody is gonna pay that much over sticker. a quick look at Cars.com or this forum proves that with all the for-sales.

feels like the dam has broken on this market in terms of supply. if your dealer wants to mark-up your order, just walk. you'll find what you want soon enough.

Were you on the dealer's lot....or shopping online? Listed inventory, and actual inventory are not necessarily the same.
My dealer has 3 Lightnings listed as "Available Inventory"...one of which is my truck. My blend date was 1/12/23...Ford website shows it "In Production"... not even Built, or Shipped yet. Still, it's listed as Available Inventory.
