I’m curious how many who thought they were at the #1 spot at their dealership by the priority process did or did not receive an invitation to order in wave 1? I am a late reservation at a midsize dealership near my work who was expecting to see a Lightning sometime in 2024. When the info came out about the priority process I gave the info to my salesman because he hadn’t heard about the process. I got a call from him on the deadline day of turning in the priority list and was told they were giving me the number 1 spot because I was the only one at their dealership who had expressed interest in following through with their reservation and because I had provided them with so much information. They told me they had been allotted 5 Lightnings for 2022. I was pretty shocked but happy to hear the news.

That said, I never received an invite to order on Thursday. My reservation is intact on Ford website, but no offer to order. I’m not too concerned, I know there was only 1 allotment per dealership, if that, on this first wave. I’m going to sit tight until wave 2 to see what happens in a few weeks. I’m just wondering whether other priority #1 folks received invites to order or not.

  • Each dealership has been allotted a certain number of customers with the 2022 Ford F150 Lightning reservation to be able to convert it to an order.
  • Ford has allotted the number of these customers by Zone.
  • We are in Zone D. With that being said, we were allotted 1 customer in this wave.
  • We are hopeful that the next wave that is released by Ford will be larger.
  • Per our communications with Ford, there will be invites sent from Ford to Lightning holders in approximate 2-week increments. (They have also added a disclaimer that the number of customer invitations per wave are subject to change.)
This was sent to me yesterday (the 7th of January).

Very lucky if you are their only holder.

Was hitting refresh like a crack addicted monkey to get my reservation in on gigabyte fiber. In top 5 at my dealer. He expects to get 5 allocated. It is not first come, first served. He intends to order a demo.

No invitation email yet.

pro with bed step/ stripper pole in carmelized gray. Waiting to hear details on the lower priced tow pack. This is a work/ around town truck for me. Am a little disapointed to see that chevy work truck has 400 mile range, 4 wheel steer and air suspension for similar starting price as ford, I think. that said the ford is far more attractive and my local ford dealer has been great to deal with over the years.

I live in a small town and put my reservation in at 6:59PM PST as soon as I saw the reservation live. The presentation was still going. My dealer today told me I was... 42nd in line... I was like - That is impossible.

I was same as you, on it as soon as the site went live. Back in December when we thought order book was opening my guy said they had ~11-12 reservations. When I found out about the the "friend" list I checked in and asked/ begged nicely and got on that list. Maybe my small town is smaller than yours? Plus, I'm in S Dakota, not a lotta lekky cars here. Sorry you are so far down the list, guessing that means '23 model?

Same exact thing man and yea, if 42 holds ill cancel and buy a different vehicle. I am not waiting till summer of 23' to buy a truck. I called the owner & am having them look into the situation. I believe based on my timestamp and dealer size, top 5 seems possible, top 10 is probably and top 25 should have been a 100% things.

I was #1 at my dealership. Got the invite for Wave #1 even though we had an additional 15 people transfer their reservations to my dealership after I added it to the No ADM list. I feel a little guilty for a having a much later reservation, 6/3, than others and getting my invite but Im sure we would all be ecstatic if you got the invite and not someone else. Be patient and maybe check other dealerships in your area to see if they have have less than 5 reservations.
